RIKEN-Hiroshima University Collaboration Research Facility
The RIKEN-Hiroshima University Collaboration Research Facility was established in March 2018 within the Hiroshima Central Science Park, a regional science and technology hub that maximizes the use of a well-established research environment supported by Hiroshima Prefecture and Higashihiroshima City. Here, RIKEN engages in collaborative research activities with organizations such as Hiroshima University, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and the National Research Institute of Brewing.

The closest train station is Saijo Station on the JR Sanyo Line.
The research facility is located approx. 20 minutes from Saijo Station by bus/on foot.
Access to Saijo Station
- Shinkansen (Hiroshima Station)
Take the JR Sanyo Line from Hiroshima Station to Saijo Station (about 36 min).
- From Hiroshima Airport: Limousine Bus to Saijo Station
Take the airport limousine bus from Hiroshima Airport to Saijo Station North Exit (about 26 min).
- From Hiroshima Airport: Local Bus/Train Lines to Saijo Station
From Hiroshima Airport, take the local bus to JR Shiraichi Station. From there, take the JR Sanyo Line to Saijo Station (about 35 min).
Route from Saijo Station to Research Facility
At Saijo Station (on the JR Sanyo Line), go out the south exit and walk to bus platform #7. Board the Chugoku JR bus bound for Kurose/Hiroshima Kokusai Daigaku/Hiro/Kure and get off at the Suigenchi-mae bus stop. The bus takes about 15 minutes and costs 260 yen.
At the Suigenchi-mae bus stop, cross to the west side of the Hiroshima Central Science Park entrance intersection, then continue west up a gentle slope (about 200m) toward the Science Park. Turn left after you pass the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) building. The second facility on your right should be the Hiroshima University Innovation Plaza; the RIKEN-Hiroshima University Collaboration Research Facility is located inside. (The walk from the bus stop should take about 5 minutes.)
